Lucknow is set to host its first international cricket match after 24years as India is slated to play 2 Tests, 5 ODIs and 3 T20Is against West Indies in a seven-week-long tour which commences October 4.
Lucknow’s Ekana International Cricket Stadium is set to get its first taste of international cricket as the stadium has been announced as the venue for the second T20I between India and West Indies on November 6, 2018. The fixture was awarded to the Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association and it was a toss-up between Kanpur and Lucknow. But because of its better facilities, infrastructure and seating capacity of 50,000 people , Lucknow’s brand-new stadium will officially play host to its first-ever international match.
Ekana International Cricket Stadium, has hosted Ranji Trophy and Duleep Trophy matches in the past. Last year due to incomplete infrastructural conditions, the third ODI between New Zealand and India was pushed to Kanpur. And previously, an international match was held in was in 1994 when India beat Sri Lanka in a Test match at KD singh Babu Stadium.

1st Test: October 4-8 at Rajkot
2nd Test: October 12-16 at Hyderabad
1st ODI: October 21 at Guwahati
2nd ODI: October 24 at Indore
3rd ODI: October 27 at Pune
4th ODI: October 29 at Mumbai
5th ODI: November 1 at Thiruvananthapuram
1st T20I: November 4 at Kolkata
2nd T20I: November 6 at Lucknow
3rd T20I: November 11 at Chennai
